FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here are some frequently asked questions, however, please feel free to get in touch with any other queries. You can do this using our 'Let's Chat!' button at the bottom right of the screen or head over to our socials and send us a DM.

Q: Do I need to provide food for my dog?

A: Yes, as it helps to avoid pets getting a bad tummy from abruptly changing foods. We ask that clients provide sufficient food for the duration of your dogs stay. If for any reason the food provided is not sufficient for the duration of the stay, we will of course purchase more and we would ask that you refund the cost of this directly to us at the end of your dog’s stay.

Q: Is there a minimum age requirement?

A: No, the only requirement is that they have received all of their vaccinations.

Puppies under 12 months old shall be charged at an additional £5 per day. This charge is discretionary and is based on the additional needs of the puppy for the period of care.

Q: Is it only Dachshunds that can stay?

A: We can take other small breed dogs but only if they come as a pair with another dachshund that they live with.

Q: Where do the dogs sleep?

A: We have several separate rooms for each of our doggy guests, should they prefer to sleep on their own. However, should they prefer company, they are welcome to sleep in a bed next to us or in our bed too.

Q: Is there anything else I need to provide with my dog?

A: Yes. We ask that you provide anything you think will help your dog settle in, so bed, blanket etc. In addition we would appreciate if you could provide your dog’s collar, harness and coats if necessary. As a result this helps your dog feel familiar in their new surroundings as quickly as possible.

Q: Do you accept intact males?

A: No, unfortunately we cannot accept intact males.

Q: My girl has or may come into season during their stay, can she still board?

A: We cannot accept girls that are in season.

If they come into season during their stay, they will need to be collected by your emergency contact.

Q: Will my dog mix with other dogs during their stay?

A:Yes, there will be lots of socialising during your dogs stay. That said, every dog is different, so we will do whatever works for your dog and they will be supervised at all times.
